Leader In Training (LIT) Program
Our Leader In Training (LIT) Program is designed for 15-16 year olds who are too old to be campers. LITs will be trained in leading trail rides, and teaching kids horse care such as how to saddle and brush their horse. LITs will learn how to organize group games, do Arts & Crafts, and just sit and talk with other kids making sure they are having fun.
To get the full training necessary, it is a two-week course and you will get a certificate upon completion. After this course, you will be on top of the list to volunteer for the following summer.
There are limited spaces in if you want to pick your weeks (which have to be consecutive) sign up as soon as you can. First, phone to see what weeks are open. To sign up, fill out the reservation form like you are coming to camp. At the top of the form, write “Leader In Training Program”. Simply send in the form with your deposit (half the price of regular camper rates) and get ready to learn, work and have fun.
Volunteer Leaders
Volunteers must be a minimum of 17 years old. Many campers return as LITs and then volunteers.
To sign up as a volunteer, phone or email us to inquire about availability. If you have volunteered before, we should be able to sort everything out on the phone. However, if you are new or have never attended Webb’s Holiday Acres, we may ask you to come as an LIT or request a resume.
We are happy to sign any school volunteer forms and/or provide a letter confirming volunteerism. Simply ask us at the end of your volunteer week(s).
Senior Staff
